spneldritchbangs | BigBang 2025 — Writers, this is how to turn in your draft!

ALL rough drafts are due by July 15th. Send your submission to spneldritchbang@gmail.com A link to the doc in viewer's mode is fine.

As posting starts in October and there’s still a lot of time to write, your story can be a rough draft, but it must be fleshed out enough for the artist to be able to work on it. You can keep writing until the posting date, but any substantial change must be communicated to your artist. Also, I need an estimate of how much you have left to write. I don't want to pry, just make sure there's enough of a story so you can get it wrapped up by October.

If I don’t have your draft by July 17, I’ll assume that you dropped up.

Previews are due on July 20. Claims on July 25.

When submitting your work, you must include the following information in the body of your e-mail. This is the text that will show in the anonymous preview post! Link your fic or attach it to the message body.

Ao3/Livejournal/Tumblr Name (primary site):

Fandom: (Indicate here if your story is RPF, SPN, or crossover)

Title:

Summary: (and I mean summary, no more than 200-ish words, please)

Pairing or Gen:

Type: minibang (5,000-10,000 words); midibang (10,001-15,000 words); bigbang (15,001 words or more): This may be an assumption, but if so, you should warn the artists.

Warnings: (Please indicate whether the fic contains Graphic Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non-Con or Underage content, in addition to any other warnings you think are necessary.)

Visuals: (Encitements for the artist. Mind that a Bang is not a commission. Your artist should be free to paint what the Muse whispers to them)

Do Not Wants: (Put squicks and absolute deal-breakers here. Don't go overboard. No AI allowed in any case)

All works will be posted anonymously for the claiming process. You can NOT post anywhere or reveal your story/art before the assigned posting date.

Previews: On July 20th, all writers and artists who signed up will get a link in their email to the previews’ folder. If you signed up but didn’t receive the link by July 21, please email us. The preview link will also be available on the SPN Eldritch Bang Discord.

The first round of claims will open on July 25th at 8:00 pm, London, UK time. Artist, email spneldritchbang@gmail.com with your first, second, and third favorites, indicating the number and title as they are in the preview folder. Author, if you signed up as an artist too, remember that you can NOT claim your own story.

Once a story is claimed, I’ll email a double notification to the artist and author with the caveat that they should feel free to make contact with each other but not make any public announcements until Reveals.

If any art is pending of claiming, a SECOND ROUND OF CLAIMS will open on July 27th for any artist interested in Livejournal/Tumblr/BlueSky/X, removing those stories that have already been claimed from the linked folder.
