Summary: After losing Sam, thinking his brother has been killed by a nest of vampires, Dean walks away from hunting, unable to bear life without Sam. Heartbroken, he weaves his way from Georgia, where Sam died, to New Hampshire, settling in Portsmouth and trying to make a life for himself. Angered by Dean’s abandonment and fueled by his rage over being abandoned, Sam cuts a bloody path from Georgia, instinctively following after Dean with the intention of dropping as many bodies along the way as a signal to his brother that he’s coming for Dean and that he intends to make his brother pay for leaving him before making Dean understand that there’s no getting away from him.
